Associative and Distributive properties: Associative property of addition:
NOTE: One might think that you can also apply associative property to subtraction. This is not true. Take a look. To convince yourself just plug in: a = 1, b = 2, c = 3 into the following formula. Or you can plug in any other numbers.
Associative property of multiplication:
NOTE: Once again, don’t think that you can have associative property of division, just because there is associative property for multiplication. That is a false reasoning. If you cannot see this right away just go ahead and plug in: a = 1, b = 2, c = 3 into the following formula. Also here you can plug in any other numbers.
